BFG Groundworks recently helped us with construction of new garage foundations, a concrete plinth, and associated drainage and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Ben and Pete surpassed my expectations from the beginning - both friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. From coming to look at the job and advising on their recommendations through to sending their competitive quote over and offering to come back to the property to go through it with me. Out of all the quotes I received theirs was more thorough in terms of the work to be carried out.

Both worked extremely hard and got the driveway and rear garden completed on time whilst leaving the site clean and tidy.

The final result was exactly what I wanted and done to a very high standard.

Ben has been brilliant at bringing life to ideas, often without so much as a sketch to work from. So far (and we hope that this is just the start!) Ben and his team have converted an unused turning area into a small paved courtyard overhung with a vine; they have transformed a neglected corner of the lawn prone to water-logging, laying self-binding gravel and planting and staking trees, to create a beautiful, private area at the bottom of the garden where we can enjoy privacy and shade in the heat of the summer. They have built a self-standing pergola at the heart of the garden, as well as a wisteria walkway close to the house. And a tired, unloved border has become a kitchen garden with Ben's help, replete with 2 raised beds which he designed and built

For each of these projects, Ben has gone out of his way to support our specific priorities around environmental sustainability, helping to source upcycled materials where possible and making suggestions about lower-impact alternatives to traditional products, for example trying to reduce/eliminate the use of concrete in particular cases

Ben and his team have been reliable, tidy, efficient and fun. It has been a pleasure to have them work with us.
